About the Marketing and BD team at GT With a presence in each of our three offices, our friendly, social and high performing Marketing team is made up of Business Development, Communications, Design, Events, Digital/Technology and Client Relationship Management. This role will work both with Perth-based fee earners and the rest of the marketing team, who are predominantly based in Sydney. About the role Reporting directly into the Head of Business Development, as our Perth Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for primarily supporting our energy and resources and corporate advisory teams as well as Perth-wide initiatives. Broadly your role will involve: Tender responses and capability statements. Preparing directory and award submissions. Keeping all practice publications and thought leadership up-to-date. Reviewing sponsorship and awards opportunities. Business Development planning. Building client relationships. Assisting lawyers in building their BD skills. Potentially managing a junior team member, also based in Perth (depending upon experience). Drafting press releases where required for specific deals and transactions. Event coordination. Desired Skills and Experience About You To be successful, you will have experience in a similar role, or as an established business development executive looking to take that next step in your career, within a law firm or professional services environment. In addition, you will be/have: Business development experience gained in a professional services environment. Influencing skills, particularly in relation to partners and senior management. The ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment and juggle numerous tasks. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Initiative, creativity and a keen eye for detail. Project management skills.
