About the Opportunity The Commercial Coordinator is responsible for supporting the BAE Systems Maritime Australia Commercial function and is accountable for providing commercial and administrative support to assist the project team to effectively manage on-going projects and win new business. More specifically you will: Provide administrative assistance to the Commercial team on all commercial issues Support with administration of the Hunter Class Frigate Program Contract in accordance with company procedures, which will encompass liaison with internal and some external stakeholders, including the: Review of customer communications and preparation of correspondence Preparation and maintenance of contract documentation, records and internal reports Coordination of inputs required to populate presentation packs, checklists, forms and plans as required under BAE Systems’ Commercial process Preparation of contract amendments and contract change proposals Support with coordination of management review and approval of bids and proposals Support to the Commercial team with the preparation of documentation required under the Request for Bid Approval process Support with the administration of compliance to Import/Export requirements including International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Australian Customs and Defence Export Control Office (DECO) About you As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you’ll have: A degree qualification in either Commerce, Law or another relevant degree A well organised, thorough and professional approach coupled with high motivation and enthusiasm to get the job done effectively An ability to work effectively under tight deadlines Advanced computing skills and an excellent understanding of Microsoft Office and PowerPoint A high level of analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to identify “exception” detail in documents and provide proposed corrections Exceptional written and oral communication skills An ability to interact effectively with all stakeholders An ability to identify potential issues, develop solutions and manage your time effectively About us BAE Systems’ advanced defence technology solutions protect people and national security, keeping critical information and infrastructure secure.
