An interim legal and investigative role with a respected and well-established organisation. To be successful in this role you will be a qualified, practising lawyer with administrative law experience and regulatory exposure. Specialising in areas of law directly relevant to regulatory compliance you will have proven experience of leading investigations into complex compliance matters. You will be working closely with the Board to ensure it fulfils its regulatory obligations. Key responsibilities include: Effectively coordinate all parties involved in informal and formal hearings, liaising with Board members, practitioners, legal representatives, the public and other relevant stakeholders. Attend Formal and Informal hearings and prepare hearing documentation and reports. Liaise with external law firms and provide ongoing updates to the General Manager regarding cases delegated to external lawyers/investigators in accordance with the Act. Support the members of the Preliminary Investigation Panel in progressing open investigation matters, by requesting and collating information and evidence, drafting allegations and preparing reports. Work closely with the Compliance Officer in the preparation of complaints materials presented to the Board. Assist the General Manager and the team in responding to compliance related enquiries from the public and the profession.
