About the role This role will see the successful incumbent: Assisting in the planning, delivery and embedding of legal process and technology solutions internally, relating specifically to the use of AI tools for legal practice groups. Provide legal teams with training and support for innovation capabilities, processes, tools and systems. Drive behavioural and cultural change required for new innovations to be successful and working closely with lawyers on transactions involving the use of technology. Strong general technology focus on legal tech, including AI for contract analysis and project management tools. Designing and implementing innovation projects relating to the development, piloting and roll-out of AI legal tech-enabling processes, tools and systems. Developing best practice process. Participating in debriefs and review meetings to capture successes and points for future improvement. Catalogue for future reference. Managing and engaging in multiple projects concurrently. Contributing to other Information Strategy projects (e.g. innovation, expertise, insight) as required. The remuneration for this role is between $80,000 to $90,000, including Super. About you To be successful in this role, the successful incumbent will be a qualified solicitor with at least a year’s experience working in legal practice in either a large professional services or corporate law firm. In addition, they will be/have: Strong understanding of technology and project management skills Lean Six Sigma experience (highly regarded) In-depth understanding of legal transactions/matters and how to optimise efficiency in this space Able to analyse transactions as a whole, is fully aware of all aspects of transaction. Process Improvement experience gained within the legal industry highly regarded. Skills in the use of relevant information technologies and tools (e.g. AI for contract drafting) Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to make complex concepts easily accessible to others. Outstanding engagement and stakeholder management experience. A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and a diligent focus on quality and improvement. Motivated by providing service excellence. Ability to prioritise work, manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet agreed deadlines. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
