Starting salary from $110,745 Per Annum (plus super and annual leave loading)  • A number of temporary roles available with possibility of extension and/or conversion to ongoing  • Location flexible Our Planning and Assessment Division is currently seeking Principal Policy Officers to join the Office of Local Government (OLG) located in Nowra. As a Principal Policy Officer, you will be joining a high performing Policy Team to deliver, monitor and evaluate diverse and innovative policy and programs to strengthen local government; support local government reform; and identify policy solutions to inform Government decision making. Working in a high-volume work environment, you will be providing high quality, timely responses to correspondence, briefings, and requests for advice from the OLG Executive and the Minister’s office. You will develop and maintain effective partnerships with councils and State Government agencies and consult with multiple stakeholders.  You will work on projects, policy and program development, including scoping, developing and managing project budgets, and key milestone reporting.
