Using data analytics (powered by the DAC’s Data Analytics Services), the DAC works to connect data, people and insights to build world-class capabilities in whole-of-government data analytics to improve health and well-being, safety, social, economic and environmental outcomes for the citizens of NSW. About the role: As the Senior Policy Officer, y ou will manage and coordinate the development and implementation of a range of policy initiatives to contribute to the delivery of policy that supports Agency and/or Government commitments. You will utilise your knowledge of challenges and good practices related to data governance and data management, including privacy and security to draft and process policy documents that address these matters and draw upon this expertise in ensuring the Data Analytics Centre’s ability to play a lead role in facilitating data sharing and analytics across Government . Key accountabilities include Research, analyse and review complex policy issues, identifying issues and developing evidence-based options. Provide expert policy advice and information to relevant stakeholders Monitor, evaluate and report on the development and/or implementation of policies to achieve desired outcomes Deliver policy initiatives and projects to required standards and timeframes. Key Skills and Experience to be successful Exceptional stakeholder and relationship management skills with a proven ability to work across multiple tasks and a desire to build strong partnerships Well-developed policy skills and working knowledge of and a keen interest in addressing challenges and issues involved with data management, data analytics, privacy and security Experience to operate effectively in a complex, sensitive and changing environment.
